An ongoing series I conceived of to give a brief, personal and visually dynamic preview of individual ballets in the company's repertoire in support of their performances. Filmed from camera positions at the front of house as well as backstage, the goal was to provide an intimate portrait of these ballets from the artists' perspective, to better translate the experience to online audiences.

These ballet "trailers" were also designed so that seasonal motion graphics could be changed out, allowing the videos to be used over and over as ballets are repeated each season or year. They have since been used for over 2 years/4 consecutive seasons.

After the first season of videos were released, I also started an "Extended Interviews" series, cut from this same footage, as a way of presenting the more complete story for audience members who were hungry for more insight from these world-class artists.

Wall Street Journal Review: In Lincoln Kirsteins Shadow - Excerpt:
"In addition to its own notes in daily programs, today's NYCB provides video footage on screens in the lobby and outside the auditorium of the David H. Koch Theater, as well as on its Website (nycballet.com; see "The Viewing Room"). These offer loops of appealingly shot and produced "video notes."

The succinct little productions are expertly overseen by former company dancer Kristin Sloan, who is director of new media, and present clips of dancers and choreographers addressing the unheard questions of unseen interviewers about their work with NYCB."
